1. 传说中被打死的被害人的叔叔，实际上没有死，但是现在重伤在医院留医。

2. 传说中，死者的尸体已经被淘空内脏，进行了尸检；但实际上似乎尸体还存放在一具冰棺中，停放在一条河边。

根据明报报道，当地政府的宣传机器在事件后迅速开动起来，矛头对准了参与骚乱的民众。

甕安縣政府昨日透過電視等傳媒發出一份《關於督促犯罪嫌疑人主動投案自首的通告》，稱在前日下午至昨日凌晨，「我縣縣委、公安、民政等辦公大樓被違法犯罪分子打砸搶燒是嚴重的刑事犯罪活動，犯罪分子公然挑戰政府法律權威，作案十分猖狂，氣焰非常囂張，犯罪分子不計後果，給國家、集體和人民群眾財產造成無法估計的巨大損失。」該《通告》還稱，公安政法機關將全力偵破此案，敦促犯罪嫌疑人主動投案自首。

    The central authorities have kept a constant and clear policy towards the Dalai Lama, a government spokesman said.

    ”Our door is always open for the dialog with the Dalai Lama,” he said, “(We) hope that the Dalai Lama would treasure this opportunity and give positive response to the requirements of the central authorities.”

    On May 4, officials from relevant central government departments had a meeting with representatives of the Dalai Lama at his request, the first time after the March 14 riots in Lhasa.
